My Approach
I care that every patient feels heard and has the support they need to take the next best step in their treatment and in their life. I strive to give whole-person care, knowing that there are many things that make you or your child wonderful and unique. Thinking about taking medication or giving your child medication can be scary. If I recommend medication, my philosophy is to use the least amount of medication necessary. I also talk with my patients about alternatives to medication to help them make the best decision for them. If you already have a therapist and would like to see if medication would be helpful for you, I will collaborate with your therapist so your team is giving you unified care. I see patients from diverse backgrounds and use an open, thoughtful, and curious approach to understanding and helping my patients.
Therapy Types
When providing therapy, I use psychodynamic and CBT approaches to empower patients to reach their life goals. When helpful, I also use parent management training to give families important skills to support their loved ones.
